Don Percy Mahendra Rajapaksa (commonly known as Mahinda Rajapaksa; born November 18, 1945) is the current President of the Sri Lanka. A lawyer by profession, Rajapaksa previously served as the country's Prime Minister from April 6, 2004 until his swearing in as President for a six-year term on November 19, 2005. He is married to Shiranthi Rajapaksa, and is the father of three sons. |

Mahinda Rajapakse, né le 18 novembre 1945 à Weeraketiya au Sri Lanka, est un homme politique sri-lankais. Il occupe tout d'abord le poste de premier ministre du 6 avril 2004 au 19 novembre 2005. Il y est nommé par la présidente Chandrika Kumaratunga pour succéder à ce poste à Ranil Wickremesinghe. Le 17 novembre 2005, il remporte l'élection présidentielle avec 50,33 % des voix face à Wickremesinghe. Il est investi dans ses fonctions deux jours plus tard. |
