Nikola Špirić (born on September 4, 1956 in Drvar, Bosnia-Herzegovina) is a Bosnian politician and the current Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Špirić is an economics professor by trade and an ethnic Serb. He has held a number of government positions including a 4-year term in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He finished elementary education in his hometown. He attended high school in Sarajevo as well as University of Sarajevo, where he received bachelor's and master's degrees in monetary and public finances. Since 1992, he has been a professor of monetary and public finances at the University of Banja Luka. |
