Mohammed Hosni Said Moubarak, transcrit traditionnellement Muhammad Sa?id Hosni Mubarak par les arabisants, parfois orthographié Muhammad Hosni Mubarak ou simplement Hosni Moubarak, (4 mai 1928 - ) est le président de l'Égypte depuis le 14 octobre 1981. Il était devenu vice-président à l'issue de son ascension dans l'armée de l'air égyptienne, et succéda à Anouar el-Sadate après l'assassinat de ce dernier, le 6 octobre 1981.

En tant que président de l'Égypte, il est considéré comme l'un des chefs d'État les plus puissants du Moyen-Orient. Le contrôle de Moubarak sur l'Égypte est très large et il est globalement considéré comme un dictateur. Il est connu pour sa position neutre sur le conflit israélo-palestinien ; il est d'ailleurs souvent impliqué dans les négociations entre les deux factions.

Mohammed Hosni Moubarak est né le 4 mai 1928 à Kafr-El Meselha en Égypte. Après le lycée, il entre à l'Académie militaire égyptienne, où il obtient un diplôme en sciences militaires. En 1950, il entre à l'Académie de l'Armée de l'air égyptienne, où il obtient un diplôme en sciences de l'aviation, terminant major de promotion. Depuis lors, il progresse régulièrement dans la hiérarchie, en occupant successivement les postes de pilote, d'instructeur, de chef d'escadrille et enfin, de commandant de base. Mohammed Hosni Said Moubarak, (born May 4, 1928) has been the president of Egypt since October 14, 1981.
Mubarak was appointed vice-president of the Republic of Egypt after moving up the ranks of the Egyptian Air Force. He ascended to the presidency, succeeding President Anwar Al Sadat, following the latter's assassination on October 6, 1981.

As president of Egypt, he is one of the most powerful leaders in the region.

Mubarak was born in "Kafr El-Meselha", Al Monufiyah Governorate, Egypt. Upon completion of high school, he joined the Egyptian Military Academy, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Military Sciences in 1949. In 1950, he joined the Air Force Academy, eventually earning a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Sciences, and was assigned to the bombers squadrons. Part of his pilot's training he received at the Soviet pilot training school in Frunze (current Bishkek), in Soviet Kyrgyzstan. He then moved up the chain of command, holding the positions of pilot, instructor, squadron leader and base commander. In 1964, he was appointed head of the Egyptian Military Delegation to the USSR.

In the years between 1967 and 1972, during the War of Attrition between Egypt and Israel, Mubarak was appointed Director of the Air Force Academy and Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Air Force. In 1972, he became Commander of the Air Force and deputy minister of war. In October 1973, following the October War, also known as Yom Kippur War and the 10th of Ramadan War, Mubarak was promoted to the rank of Air Chief Marshal.
